Coby Mayo gets another start at third base this afternoon in Boston, with Adley Rutschman serving as designated hitter.

Colton Cowser is in right field, with Leody Taveras returning to center. Jackson Holliday is the second baseman.

Left-hander Trevor Rogers tossed six scoreless innings in his last start before surrendering a pair of two-run homers in the seventh. He faced the Red Sox on April 25 at Camden Yards and allowed three runs and four hits in 1 2/3 innings in a 17-1 loss. Manager Alex Cora and five coaches was fired later that night.

Rogers has a career 3.00 ERA in six starts against the Red Sox, and he’s allowed three runs in 19 1/3 innings in three starts at Fenway Park.

The Orioles and Blue Jays remain tied for third place at 29-33, and 1 ½ games out of the Wild Card.

The Orioles are the only team in the majors that hasn’t been shut out, and the 62 games to start the season is the franchise’s fourth-longest streak after 2007 (133), 1978 (77) and 1996 (66).

Right-hander Brayan Bello has a 5.63 ERA and 1.643 WHIP in 11 games (seven starts) this season. He faced the Orioles on April 24 and surrendered eight runs and 13 hits in 3 1/3 innings. The Orioles hit five home runs – Rutschman (two), Gunnar Henderson, Dylan Beavers and Samuel Basallo.

Henderson is 7-for-22 with three doubles and two homers against Bello.

Left-handed hitters have posted a .323 average against Bello this season. He held them to a .232 average last year.

Last season, Henderson batted .362 against fastballs from right-handers, but his average is down to .215 this year.

The Orioles and Red Sox have split the first two games of the series.

Wilyer Abreu is hitting .418 against left-handers this season, the highest average of any left-handed batter in 2026 in a minimum 75 plate appearances.
