Gunnar Henderson, who belted his 100th career home run last night, is hitting .316 and .333 against fastballs and breaking balls, respectively, in June. He began the month hitting .196 and .217 against those pitch types.

Rookie Trey Gibson has allowed eight runs and 18 hits in 17 innings, with eight walks and only five strikeouts. Today marks his fifth appearance and fourth start.

The Orioles have won three in a row after dropping four straight. They haven’t won four consecutive games this season. They’re in fourth place, 8 ½ games out of first place and one back in the Wild Card.

San Diego right-hander Randy Vásquez has posted a 3.63 ERA in 13 starts. He’s allowed two runs or fewer in six starts.

Vásquez has registered a 1.82 ERA and 0.910 WHIP in five road games this season, and a 4.99 ERA and 1.588 WHIP in eight home games.  

The Orioles have faced Vásquez twice in his career. They’ve scored six runs in seven innings.
