Has anyone noticed that Chris Davis is batting .333?
Davis doubled in the second inning today, moving Wilson Betemit to third base and setting up the Orioles’ first run on Ronny Paulino’s ground ball.
Davis had three hits yesterday, including a two-run homer. He’s collected hits in five of his seven starts this season.
It makes sense to keep running him out there and figuring out whether he’s more than a guy who crushes Triple-A pitching. The Orioles need to find out. So does…Has anyone noticed that Chris Davis is batting .333?

Betemit committed another error at third base today.

As for Nolan Reimold’s exclusion from the lineup, manager Buck Showalter told reporters that the outfielder is dealing with some leg cramps. Showalter wants to keep Reimold off the synthetic surface today.
Update: Adam Jones broke a 1-1 tie in the sixth with a long home run. The ball cleared the second deck. That’s a bomb.
Your cleanup hitter is batting .353 with three homers.
The Orioles have hit 14 home runs this season.
Update II: Edwin Encarnacion’s two-run homer in the bottom of the sixth gave Toronto a 3-2 lead.
