CHICAGO – The Orioles just hung six runs on the board in the top of the 10th, the last four on Matt Wieters grand slam – his second home run of the night.
Orioles 10, White Sox 4.
Only one of the six runs was earned, and here’s why:
Center fielder Alejandro De Aza committed a three-base error on Mark Reynolds fly ball, failing to make the catch with his back to the fence, and Chris Davis followed with an RBI double off reliever Zach Stewart – his third hit of the night.

Center fielder Alejandro De Aza committed a three-base error on Mark Reynolds fly ball, failing to make the catch with his back to the fence, and Chris Davis followed with an RBI double off reliever Zach Stewart – his third hit of the night.
Davis is hitting .387 this season.
Robert Andino followed with an infield hit to put runners on the corners, and Nolan Reimold delivered an RBI single to increase the lead to 6-4.
I guess his leg cramps are gone.
J.J. Hardy reached on an infield hit to load the bases with no outs before Nick Markakis grounded into a force at home – extending his slump to 3-for-31 – and Adam Jones struck out.
Up stepped Matt Wieters, who cleared the right field fence for his first career grand slam.
Wieters had three hits tonight, two home runs, two walks and two errors.
The Orioles had five hits with RISP in the 10th inning.
Strange game, indeed. Most peculiar.
Jim Johnson began to warm in the bullpen after the Orioles took the lead, but he sat down.
No save situation here.
