The Orioles aren’t done trying to compensate for injuries to both of their catchers.

They made another move this afternoon, acquiring catcher Jake Rogers from the Tigers for minor league right-hander Zane Barnhart.

Rogers hasn’t reported to the team, but he’s going to bump Chadwick Tromp or Yohel Pozo.

The club already replaced Sam Huff with Pozo.

Adley Rutschman (left wrist) and Samuel Basallo (right shoulder) are on the 10-day injured list, and the Orioles have been checking the market for available catchers with the trade deadline arriving at 6 p.m. Monday.

Rogers, 31, was designated for assignment earlier this week when the Tigers reinstated outfielder Javier Báez from the injured list.

The Tigers signed Rogers to a $3.05 million contract in November in his final year of arbitration eligibility before reaching free agency. He appeared in 34 games this season and batted .161/.266/.301 with two doubles, a triple, three home runs and nine RBIs. He also tossed 2 1/3 scoreless innings in emergency relief after allowing one run last season in 3 2/3.

Rogers has thrown out 27.1 percent of runners attempting to steal in six seasons. He’s a career .197/.270/.379 hitter in 362 games, and 21 of his 47 home runs were hit in 2023.

The Astros drafted Rogers in the third round in 2016 when Mike Elias was scouting director before becoming assistant general manager. They sent Rogers to the Tigers on Aug. 31, 2017 in the Justin Verlander deal.

Rogers missed the 2022 season after undergoing Tommy John surgery. He transitioned into a backup role last summer behind Dillon Dingler.

The Orioles drafted Barnhart in the 17th round in 2023 out of Hillsdale College in Michigan.

Barnhart, 24, posted a 4.05 ERA and 1.175 WHIP this year in 31 relief appearances with Double-A Chesapeake. He struck out 45 batters in 40 innings. He’s got a 3.41 ERA in 111 games, with 167 strikeouts over 150 1/3 innings.

Adding Rogers will require the Orioles to clear a spot on the 40-man roster after he reports.

*The Baysox placed left-hander Micah Ashman on the injured list.

Ashman, 23, has a 1.93 ERA in 25 games, with 58 strikeouts in 37 1/3 innings. The Orioles acquired him from the Tigers for Charlie Morton at last year’s deadline.
