BOSTON – In the 29th round of the First-Year Player Draft, the Orioles selected right-hander Jake Pinar of San Juan Hill (Calif.) High School. In the 30th round, they took center fielder Anthony Vega of Manhattan College in New York.

Matt Wieters has eight hits in his last 16 at-bats after totaling three hits in his previous 42 at-bats.
J.J. Hardy has hit in six straight games, going 9-for-28 (.321) and has reached safely in 35 of his last 38 games.
Adam Jones has hit in 24 of his last 25 games, going 34-for-100 (.340).
The Orioles’ bullpen leads the American League with a 2.50 ERA.
The Orioles have won six straight at Fenway Park and seven of eight.
