Brendan Mortensen

Brendan Mortensen has been covering the Baltimore Orioles dating back to his time as a MASN intern in 2018. As a reporter, analyst and podcast host, he has provided insight from the clubhouse to the farm.

His coverage includes articles on masnsports.com, feature segments on “O’s Xtra,” video analysis, live shows and interviews on MASN Orioles social pages, and “The Bird’s Nest,” a weekly Orioles podcast. He has also been known to write a funny tweet from time to time.

A graduate from Syracuse University’s Newhouse School with a degree in Broadcast and Digital Journalism and a minor in Sports Analytics, he works to use that analytical background to convey the intricacies of the game to fans.

When not at the ballpark, he has successfully found a way to clone himself, as he is always at the ballpark. He can also be found pondering how Brian Wilson came up with all of those harmonies.
