ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – The Orioles still haven’t announced their corresponding roster move that allows Kevin Gausman to come off the disabled list and start tonight against the Rays.

Yovani Gallardo is with the team and will receive treatment from the athletic training staff while the Orioles engage in their three-game series.

An MRI yesterday didn’t reveal any damage to Gallardo’s right shoulder beyond the wear and tear that already showed up during his physical. A team official said Gallardo’s timetable may mirror the one attached to Gausman after he went on the DL with right shoulder tendinitis.

Gausman received a cortisone shot on March 20 and later made three starts on his injury rehab assignment.

Paredes is on the disabled list with a left wrist injury. He’s been playing the outfield at extended spring training.

In case you missed it earlier today, the Orioles have promoted first baseman Trey Mancini to Triple-A Norfolk, with Joey Terdoslavich moving down to Double-A Bowie

Mancini, 24, has nothing else to prove in the Eastern League other than winning the Triple Crown. He was batting .302/.413/.698 with four doubles, seven home runs, 14 RBIs and 18 runs scored in 17 games.

The former eighth-round pick out of Notre Dame was named the organization’s minor league Player of the Year in 2015. He seems pretty determined to win it in back-to-back years if he doesn’t crack the Orioles’ 25-man roster this summer.

Terdoslavich, 27, was 8-for-57 in 17 games at Norfolk.

Bowie outfielder Mike Yastrzemski has been named the Eastern League’s Player of the Week after producing six multi-hit games.

Yastrzemski, 25, batted .438 (14-for-32) with three doubles, three home runs, nine RBIs and seven runs scored. His hitting streak has expanded to eight games.

Yastrzemski, the grandson of Hall of Famer Carl Yastrzemski, didn’t have an extra-base hit until last week. His average is up to .300.

Outfielder DJ Stewart, the Orioles’ first-round pick last year out of Florida State University, enjoyed his most productive weekend as a professional.

Stewart, 22, went 6-for-8 with two RBIs, six walks and seven runs scored against Kannapolis to raise his average to .235. He’s gone 10-for-33 in his last 10 games.

The Orioles are pleased with adjustments Stewart is making in his stance and approach at the plate.

“He’s getting his feet on the ground and playing well,” said executive vice president Dan Duquette. “He needs an opportunity to play a full season to show his skills.”

The White Sox purchased the contract of former Orioles pitcher Miguel Gonzalez from Triple-A Charlotte and he’s starting tonight in Toronto.

Gonzalez was 1-0 with a 2.45 ERA and 10 strikeouts in two starts spanning 11 innings with the Knights.

The Orioles host the White Sox in a four-game series beginning Thursday night, which could set up a nice little reunion. Gonzalez’s next turn would be Saturday if he stays in the rotation.
