Kevin Millwood has faced 30 teams in his 14-year career. He’s never beaten the Twins (0-7 in 12 starts), Braves (0-6 in six starts) and Rangers (0-1 in two starts).
Maybe he can cross a team off that list tonight if the city isn’t blanketed with three feet of snow.
No roof on the new stadium? Not even a retractable one? Brilliant.
Somewhere, Bud Grant is smiling.

If the game is played, Millwood will become the 18th active pitcher to throw in 40 different ballparks, joining Jamie Moyer (48), Trever Miller (44), Darren Oliver (44), Billy Wagner (43), Jamey Wright (43), Miguel Batista (42), Alan Embree (42), Kyle Farnsworth (42), Livan Hernandez (42), Javier Vazquez (42), LaTroy Hawkins (41), Chan Ho Park (41), Bob Howry (40), Guillermo Mota (40), Dennys Reyes (40), Arthur Rhodes (40) and Jeff Suppan (40). Four other pitchers have taken the mound in 39 ballparks: Kris Benson, Trevor Hoffman, Derek Lowe and Kerry Wood.
I thought about quizzing you on this one, but decided against it.
With four strikeouts, Millwood will tie former Twin Frank Viola for 81st place on the all-time list with 1,844.
Name every batter.
Okay, forget it.
One more nugget: With the exception of Alexi Casilla (.182), everyone on the Twins’ roster who has faced Millwood owns a lifetime average of .300 or better. Michael Cuddyer, Orlando Hudson, Nick Punto and Jim Thome are all above .400 against Millwood in their careers.
That’s fine, but what are they batting while wearing mittens and a scarf?
