I've dug up a few nuggets that might get you through the night.
• At this time, the Orioles don't plan on having a scout attend Ben Sheets' throwing session Tuesday in Louisiana. That could change, but it's not likely. Sheets didn't seem interested in signing here when the Orioles met with his agent last month at the winter meetings (which takes us back to their inability to secure his medical records).
• Team officials have received reports on Carlos Delgado in Puerto Rico, and I'm told he remains on their board "where he belongs." To me, that means he's not at the top. I'm just reading between the lines here.
• The Orioles didn't attend reliever Derrick Turnbow's throwing session today. They're not interested, mainly because they'll have enough right-handers in camp, though that's not the sole reason.
• The Orioles had several conversations with Adam LaRoche's agent leading up to the first baseman's decision to sign a one-year deal with the Arizona Diamondbacks. They apparently were willing to offer the same money that he took from the Diamondbacks, but he passed.
• Though they haven't heard anything official, the Orioles assume that Rich Hill will sign elsewhere.
• Nothing new to report on Mark Hendrickson. It's still a waiting game.
