The 44 RBIs are eight more than any other AL club since Aug. 3, and the average is .094 points higher than the second-place Rangers and White Sox.

Luke Scott has hit 10 home runs since July 20, tying him with Dan Uggla for second-most in the majors behind Jose Bautista (11), according to Elias. In 11 games this month, Scott is batting .391 with three doubles, five homers, 11 RBIs and eight runs. Over his last 66 games since May 8, Scott has hit .335 to raise his average to a season-high .296.

Koji Uehara has posted a 0.61 ERA and 15 strikeouts in his last 12 appearances since July 9. He’s struck out seven and not allowed a run in his last five games spanning 6 2/3 innings since July 30. Uehara has not allowed any of the 10 runners he has inherited to score and has retired the first batter faced in 18 of his 21 appearances this year.
