Jeremy Guthrie had been pitching so well, but when he gave up a two-run homer to Robinson Cano in the 5th, New York moved ahead 6-2.
They have scored in four of their five at bats vs. the O’s righty, who has allowed six runs on seven hits through five frames.
Guthrie was 7-2, 2.29 in 11 starts since the All-Star break, but entered with a 3-8, 5.33 mark in 13 career starts vs. New York.

If the Orioles are going to have CC Sabathia fail for a third straight start to get his 20th win, they will need quite a comeback.
By the way, Robert Andino, starting at third base again tonight, is 2 for 2 with a single, double and run scored. He is now 7 for 20 with three doubles and a homer over his last six starts.
Update: Andino just hit a solo homer in the 5th and is 3 for 3 tonight. Since starting last night’s game 0 for 2, Andino has four straight hits – homer, single, double and homer.
Guthrie update: Guthrie was taken out after five innings, snapping his streak of going six innings or more in 11 consecutive starts. It’s also the fourth time in 30 starts on the year he failed to go six.
Tonight’s attendance is 48,775 the second sellout of the year, along with Opening Day.
