The Orioles return home tonight after a 3-3 road trip through Detroit and New York. They may have shortstop J.J. Hardy in the lineup, depending on whether his back responded favorably to yesterday’s workout.
David Lough could return to left field against Blue Jays right-hander Dustin McGowan. But does manager Buck Showalter sit Delmon Young, who went 6-for-11 with a double, home run and three RBIs in the last two games at Yankee Stadium?
Young isn’t just raking against lefties.

The Orioles have hit four home runs in the last two games after totaling only three in the first seven games.
Catcher Matt Wieters has hit safely in all eight games that he’s played this season. He’s 11-for-30 (.367) with a double, two homers and six RBIs.
Wieters isn’t just raking against lefties.
Has anyone noticed what Steve Lombardozzi is doing? He’s 9-for-28 (.321) in seven games – all singles.
Ryan Flaherty is only 5-for-30, but he’s collected four hits in his last nine at-bats, including two doubles, and has scored four runs.
Chris Tillman will make his third start tonight. He’s 3-3 with a 3.86 ERA in 10 career outings against the Blue Jays.
Jose Bautista is 6-for-18 with a double and two homers lifetime against Tillman. Colby Rasmus is 6-for-14 with two doubles and two home runs.
Rasmus could use a favorable matchup. He’s 3-for-30 with 12 strikeouts this season.
All three hits are doubles. Weird, right?
McGowan is 0-3 with a 6.99 ERA in 13 career appearances against the Orioles, including six starts. He’s allowed 50 hits and walked 19 batters in 37 1/3 innings.
Young is 1-for-12 against McGowan. Maybe he does sit if Lough is feeling good. We’ll see.
Adam Jones is 4-for-5 with a double against McGowan. Flaherty has a home run and walk in two plate appearances.
