Frederick has placed pitcher Jake Renshaw on the DL as he recovers from elbow surgery. The Keys list P Brett Bordes, OF Jacob Julius and IF Matt Tucker on the inactive list to start the year and get down to the roster limit.
Tillman starts at Triple-A tonight where he went 8-6, 2.70 last year for Norfolk. He is the youngest player on the Tides roster and the average age of the Triple-A rotation is 23.8 years.
In nine career starts at Norfolk’s Harbor Park, where he will pitch tonight, Tillman is 5-2, 1.82.
The Delmarva Shorebirds begin their 15th season tonight and are six wins shy of 1,000 all time.
By the way, you can check back on a story I posted a week ago with a guess on the minor league rotations and seemed to have most of them figured out.
