Jake Arrieta is charged with one run and two hits in two innings. He also walked two batters.

I told you earlier that Derrek Lee wouldn’t make his debut tomorrow in Sarasota. Here’s what manager Buck Showalter told reporters:
“The good news is there’s no problem at all with the thumb. It feels good. He’s got a lot of things he’s firing on that he hasn’t used in a while and he’s got some soreness here (pointing to top of wrist). He did some tee work and soft toss today.
“Not real sore, no acute pain or anything. Just kind of there. We’ve got time. No sense in rushing.”
