Samuel Basallo is back in the Orioles’ lineup tonight.

The key is keeping him in it.

Basallo was a late scratch last night with left knee discomfort. He’s got to make it through batting practice today to remain as the designated hitter.

“I’m pretty confident he’s staying in the lineup,” said manager Craig Albernaz. “Hopefully, that workout isn’t too intense where he comes out of the lineup.”

Maverick Handley is on the catcher taxi squad, just in case.

The Orioles aren’t listing a starter for Wednesday night. Kyle Bradish would take his normal turn, but they haven’t confirmed it.

“Everything’s fine with K.B.,” Albernaz said.

Tyler O’Neill is in right field tonight against Yankees right-hander Will Warren. Dylan Beavers is in center field, which put Colton Cowser on the bench again.

Coby Mayo is the third baseman after last night’s three-run homer. Jeremiah Jackson returns to the lineup at second base.
