The bad news for Bergesen, of course, is he can’t turn in the quality start that he needed this afternoon. And it’s not known when he’ll be ready to throw again, even if the x-rays come back clean.
In other news, Felix Pie tripled with two outs in the third inning after homering and driving in four runs last night.
Instant update: Adam Jones followed with his fifth home run. Twins 6, Orioles 2.
Bergesen update: X-rays were negative. He’s just dealing with a bad bruise.
Also, Jake Fox’s ninth home run reduced the Twins’ lead to 6-3 in the fourth. It was another monstrous shot.
