Bobby Crosby struck out on three pitches and Brandon Moss grounded to short to end the rally.

Part 2: Bergesen allowed a one-out double to No. 9 hitter Luke Carlin in the second inning, but the Pirates didn’t score. Bergesen got two fly balls and a popup while throwing seven of his nine pitches for strikes.

Over in For Myers, Chris Tillman has retired the first six batters he’s faced. Lou Montanez singled in the first inning for the game’s only hit.
