Brad Bergesen batted with two outs in the sixth and runners on the corners. Nobody is warming in the bullpen. The mound remains covered.
Bergesen obviously will return for the bottom of the sixth with his pitch count at 99 and the Orioles holding a 6-3 lead after Ty Wigginton’s two-run shot off Craig Stammen.
Matt Wieters followed with a single to knock Stammen out of the game.
Wigginton has 13 homers and 31 RBIs, including four today.
First half MVP? Right now, I don’t see how anyone…Brad Bergesen batted with two outs in the sixth and runners on the corners. Nobody is warming in the bullpen. The mound remains covered.

Nats catcher Pudge Rodriguez left the game with a lower-back strain. He’s day-to-day like the rest of us.
Update: That was a wasted at-bat by Bergesen, because he faced three batters in the bottom of the sixth and didn’t record an out. Now he’s gone, and his lead might follow. The Nats have scored twice on Adam Kennedy’s single – Nick Markakis should have made the sliding catch and misplayed the ball – Roger Bernadina’s triple to right and pinch-hitter Alberto Gonzalez’s single up the middle.
Mark Hendrickson has entered the game. If Bergesen gets the win, he’ll be extremely lucky after allowing five runs (so far) and 11 hits in five-plus innings.
Update II: Make that six runs off Bergesen, Hendrickson has retired only one batter, on a sac bunt, and Adam Dunn’s two-run single has given Washington a 7-6 lead. The Orioles must stick with Hendrickson because of their bullpen situation. Nobody is warming.
