Hall went 2-for-9 with the Orioles in May. He homered in his first game with the team on May 12 against Tampa Bay.

Hall went home to Arizona after the Norfolk Tides’ Triple-A season ended, but then flew to Sarasota, Fla., several days ago to work out during the Orioles’ instructional league.

“Not sure yet, but it’s possible (I’ll get activated),” Hall said. “I was home right after the Triple-A season, but they told me to stay ready. They sent me to Sarasota and I’ve been there about a week. They have some things up in the air right now, so I’m not sure what is going on. Haven’t been added yet. Might happen before tonight’s game or might have to wait until tomorrow. But I’m here, able-bodied and ready to contribute any way I can.

“Any time you have a chance to be in a playoff race, they don’t come around very often. I’m excited to help out any way I can. These guys were playing great without me, but if I can help a little bit, that would be great.

“I feel like I have some things to bring. I can play infield, can play outfield. I think the main reason I’m here is I’m pretty good off left-handed pitching. I think I have a good idea of what they expect out of me.”

In 90 games at Triple-A, Hall batted .246 with 15 homers and 45 RBIs. But against lefty pitchers with Norfolk, he batted .314 with a slugging percentage of .543 and OPS of .927.

One reason Hall may be here is that Lew Ford is dealing with a groin injury that first surfaced Sunday in Boston.

“We’re taking it day to day,” Ford said of his injury. “I felt something when I threw in the game on Sunday. I feel better today than I did yesterday. I didn’t want to miss the last two games for sure,” he said.
