Dylan Bundy rolled his ankle while running the bases Saturday in Atlanta and his start Thursday afternoon is in jeopardy.
So, too, is his roster spot.
The Orioles probably will put Bundy on the disabled list if he’s unable to face the Mariners to close out the four-game series. They’re monitoring the situation.
Manager Buck Showalter didn’t want to commit to a brief DL stint if Bundy can’t pitch, but he indicated that it likely would happen.

Bundy collected his first major league hit and later joked about his station-to-station trip around the bases.
Double-A Bowie outfielder Austin Hays will see a specialist regarding his ankle injury and there’s concern in the organization that he might require surgery.
Hays, the club’s minor league Player of the Year in 2017, hasn’t played since May 24. He’s batting .224/.259/.374 in 43 games.
The corresponding roster move for Tim Beckham will be revealed after batting practice. It’s expected to involve a reliever, which would give the Orioles a four-man bench.
Someone must come off the 40-man roster to accommodate Beckham.
Showalter said he spoke to Danny Valencia regarding the impact of Beckham’s return to the lineup. Valencia could play the outfield. He’s going to be in Tuesday’s lineup against left-hander James Paxton and perhaps on Wednesday against left-hander Wade LeBlanc.
Trey Mancini has a sore throat, but he’s able to play tonight.
Rule 5 pitcher Pedro Araujo, on the disabled list with a right elbow strain, has been throwing on flat ground. His program was interrupted by the birth of his son.
