CHICAGO – Dylan Bundy allowed a baserunner tonight.
Better keep him in the South Atlantic League until he figures it out.
Making his home debut, Bundy walked Hagerstown center fielder Billy Burns with two outs in the third inning – the only runner to reach against him in three starts.
Bundy struck out three more batters, giving him 15 in nine innings. He still hasn’t surrendered a hit.

The fourth-overall pick in the 2011 First-Year Player Draft got two ground balls and a strikeout in the first inning, and a fly ball and two strikeouts in the second, and three ground balls in the third.
Two fans who attended tonight’s game in Salisbury report that Bundy’s fastball was clocked at 102 mph on the stadium gun. I have no idea how accurate those readings are, but I’ll pass it along anyway.
UPDATE: The Shorebirds had Bundy’s fastball at 98 mph. He apparently was clocked at 102 once on the scoreboard.
As for the Orioles, Nick Johnson’s 16 at-bats without a hit are the most in the majors. He’s not in tonight’s lineup.
Manager Buck Showalter is nine wins away from 1,000 in his career.
Here are the pitching matchups for the Angels series that starts Friday:
Friday: Brian Matusz vs. Jerome Williams
Saturday: Jake Arrieta vs. Jered Weaver
Sunday: Wei-Yin Chen vs. Dan Haren
