Cabrera was hit on the left foot last night by a pitch from Mets starter Jacob deGrom in the top of the fifth inning. Cabrera stayed in the game and had a few mishaps on the basepaths later in the frame.
Cabrera will have the foot X-rayed this afternoon. He’s in an 0-for-17 slump, lowering his average to .205.

Navarro came off the bench last night and singled to raise his average to .316 (6-for-19).

The Orioles will need to make a second corresponding move on Friday when Ryan Flaherty comes off the disabled list. A healthy Cabrera could be optioned if he doesn’t go on the DL tonight.

Showalter said second baseman Jonathan Schoop’s recovery from a sprained right knee has been slow.

Schoop’s had fluid drained from the knee twice since going on the disabled list on April 18. He could be out longer than anticipated.

Matt Wieters caught seven innings today at extended spring training. Manager Buck Showalter doesn’t know whether Wieters will catch again on Friday.

Showalter said Wieters has dealt with some triceps soreness, but added that it isn’t alarming. Wieters has experienced general soreness while playing at extended spring training, which is to be expected.

The Orioles have won four straight three-game series from the Yankees since the beginning of 2014, three short of the club record set from June 15, 1965-July 8, 1969.
