Building on this excitement, the Orioles welcomed Clarence Greenwood, better known as Citizen Cope, to the ballpark to belt the national anthem in front of a sellout crowd of 46,912 fans in attendance.

Citizen Cope has received a number of accolades over the past 10 years of his career, including collaborations with Grammy Award-winning artists such as Santana, Sheryl Crow and Eric Clapton….The American League Championship Series brought a lot of excitement to Baltimore over the weekend. Another achievement to add to his impressive resume? Serenading Camden Yards during the Orioles’ first appearance in the ALCS in 17 years.

A Washington, D.C., native, Clarence grew up an Orioles fan. When asked what it was like for him to sing “The Star-Spangled Banner” at Camden Yards for a playoff game, Greenwood responded, “It’s great. It’s like a full circle, or full ‘O’ I guess.”
