After a stretch where O’s starters posted nine quality starts over ten games, now they have two games in a row without one.
After Jeremy Guthrie allowed six runs last night, Chris Tillman gave up six walks today. He allowed three runs over 3 2/3 and the O’s trail 3-1 in the 6th as once again they can’t seem to hit Andy Pettitte.
Here is an interesting Tillman stat. Over his last two starts, the opposing hittters are batting just .121 against him with four hits in 33 at bats. The Yankees…After a stretch where O’s starters posted nine quality starts over ten games, now they have two games in a row without one.

Here is an interesting Tillman stat. Over his last two starts, the opposing hittters are batting just .121 against him with four hits in 33 at bats. The Yankees had three hits today and the Tigers just one hit in Tillman’s last start. But he has walked 12 batters in those two starts.
In Detroit, he got squeezed on the strike zone and missed with several close pitches it looked to me. Today, he just missed. Not his day.
He has walked 28 batters in 40 2/3 big league innings on the season.
