Chris Tillman has posted a 0.64 ERA – one earned run in 14 innings – in his last two road starts (July 10 at Texas and Sept. 12 at Detroit). He’s allowed just four hits, all singles, in his last two starts this season, but he’s walked 12 batters over 10 1/3 innings.

Of all the relievers with 30 innings pitched, Koji Uehara leads the AL and is tied for third in the majors in strikeout-to-walk ratio at 9.20. Uehara also ranks fifth in the AL in strikeouts per nine innings at 10.62. David Hernandez is second in the AL and 12th in the majors in strikeouts per nine innings at 11.38.

Uehara has set a franchise record by not walking a batter in 27 consecutive appearances covering 29 innings. Chad Bradford didn’t walk a batter in 24 consecutive outings spanning 17 1/3 innings from April 28 to June 15, 2007.

Ty Wigginton has at least one RBI in five straight games, and seven RBIs total, tying Adam Jones for the longest RBI streak this season.

The Orioles have made just one error in their last six games – an errant pickoff throw by Michael Gonzalez on Sept. 19. They have the second-best fielding percentage (.992) in the AL since Aug. 27, trailing only the Yankees (.993). Other than Gonzalez, Wigginton (four) and Matt Wieters (two), no Oriole has committed an error since Aug. 26th.

After going 16-37 from Aug. 1 through the end of the 2008 season and 19-40 from Aug. 1 until the end of the 2009 season, the Orioles are 29-19 in August and September in 2010 with 10 games remaining.

With three wins in their final 10 games, the Orioles would equal their 64-98 record from 2009. They were 32-73 through 105 games this season and 44-61 through 105 games in 2009.
