Well, how about celebrating the celebration?
On Wednesday, Nov. 14, the Babe Ruth Birthplace Foundation and the Sports Boosters of Maryland will honor the 35th anniversary of the 1983 World Series championship with “An Evening with the ’83 Orioles” at The Renaissance Harborplace Hotel on East Pratt Street.
The fundraising celebration will include a cocktail hour, plated dinner with wine service, silent and live auctions, a speaker program and more.
Among those scheduled to participate are Hall of Famers Jim Palmer and Eddie Murray, along with their 1983 Orioles teammates Ken Singeton, Scott McGregor, Martinez, Landrum, Gary Roenicke, John Stefero, Bill Sqaggerty, John Shelby, Benny Ayala, Dan Ford, Storm Davis, Rich Dauer and Al Bumbry. Longtime Orioles head athletic trainer Richie Bancells and former radio broadcaster Fred Manfra will also be in attendance.
Tickets for event are $150 per person and $1,250 for a table of 10, and are available here. Special sponsorship packages are also available.
