The Orioles are making another roster move today, recalling catcher Steve Clevenger from Triple-A Norfolk. He’s expected in uniform for today’s game against the Yankees at Camden Yards.
No word on the corresponding move. The Orioles could send out another pitcher before the All-Star break, as they did with Bud Norris on Thursday.

Nick Hundley started behind the plate last night and delivered a walk-off single in the 10th inning.
Manager Buck Showalter chose not to send up a pinch-hitter, later explaining that “it’s a tie game, we’re not behind, and Nick is engaged in the sequences versus the hitters. All the things that have gone on in the previous at-bats, without trying to make somebody look bad, there are some tendencies with (Adam) Warren that may not fit our pinch-hitters.”
Caleb Joseph, who’s received most of the starts following Matt Wieters’ season-ending elbow surgery, went 1-for-3 Thursday night against the Nationals. He ran into the short wall behind the plate while chasing a foul ball and didn’t play last night.
Clevenger, a product of Mount St. Joseph, began the season as the Orioles’ backup and was optioned on May 27 after throwing out 3-of-20 runners attempting to steal. He was batting .243/.300/.378 with eight doubles and eight RBIs in 74 at-bats over 24 games.
Clevenger is batting .328/.378/.458 with 11 doubles, two homers and 26 RBIs in 36 games at Norfolk. He gives the Orioles a much-needed left-handed bat off the bench.
