Some clubhouse quotes after the Orioles 12-9 win Saturday night over Boston. It's the O's first series win of the year after going 0 and 7. The O's now lead the season series, 3-2 vs. Boston and have won three in a row vs. the Sox for the first time since September 2, 2005. The teams combined for nine homers and it's the 12th time in O's history the team and its opponent combined for eight or more homers in a game. Miguel Tejada on the O's offense breaking out: "It's big. We got to play the best and everybody is of the mind to get it done right now. We are enjoying the game and everyone is happy. "Everyone knows we have a lot of young talent here and this is a good time for them to come through. You see what Wieters and Markakis can do. We need the young guys to step up." Ty Wigginton on winning a series for the first time on the year: "It's just another W. Hopefully now we move on to bigger and better things." Ty Wigginton on having eight homers already: "I'm not even trying to look at it or think about it. It really means nothing at this point. Just trying to have a good approach and go from there." Ty Wigginton asked if anything is different with his hitting this year?: "Not really. I'm coming up with a plan and I'm seeming to execute. I got off to a slow start last year. I wanted to drive the ball early last year, but it didn't work out." Ty Wigginton on Markakis: "This guy is truly one of the special hitters in this league and it's nice to see him get rolling. When he gets rolling he can do a lot of things for this offense." Brad Bergesen on his outing: "Today the off speed stuff was working. The fastball was still just a little inconsistent. But these last few days I got to go down there (Triple-A), relax a little and work with pitching coach Mike Griffin. He really had some good talks with me just about the mental side of the game. I've made some progress, it's still not quite where it needs to be, but it's going in the right direction right now. "I felt back to my old self in terms of keeping cool. It was a battle today. My past three starts I left early so to at least make five innings and get a W was great." Brad Bergesen on gaining a win despite giving up four runs: "This was by far the ugliest W I've ever had. It's such a funny game and I'll take it any way I can." Brad Bergesen on going to the minors and coming back: "This was the first time in my career I went down. For me it's always been going up. When you get a taste of this and then go back down there, you take so much for granted. Just so fortunate to be back and I've got to make the most of it from here on out."
