The Orioles have announced that Birdland superhero Crush Davis and his English Bulldog sidekick, Samson, will be featured on a unique bobblehead giveaway on Saturday, August 20, when the Orioles host the Houston Astros at 7:05 p.m. ET. Both Davis and Samson will be depicted in their traditional superhero attire with heads that bobble. Crush Davis is based on the alter ego of Orioles first baseman Chris Davis, originally revealed in the 2014 Crush Davis action figure. The bobblehead will be available to the first 25,000 fans 15 and over.

For the past three seasons, Samson has been featured in the Orioles Pet Calendar benefiting Baltimore Animal Rescue and Care Shelter (BARCS), a non-profit shelter that accepts and cares for all animals in need. The 2017 Orioles Pet Calendar will also go on sale on August 20, at Oriole Park and online at www.orioles.com/petcalendar. Additional details will be available at a later date.
