Chris Davis hit another home run tonight, his fourth in the last seven games, to tie the score at 1-1. He connected off Yankees starter Phil Hughes with one out in the second.
Davis is 8-for-18 with a double, four homers and nine RBIs in his last seven games. He’s batting .319 with five homers and 13 RBIs on the season.

The Yankees took a 1-0 lead in the first on Curtis Granderson’s home run off left-hander Brian Matusz. The ball appeared to hit the seats above the second deck.
Matusz gave up a single to Alex Rodriguez before striking out Robinson Cano and retiring Mark Teixeira on a fly ball to right. He struck out Andruw Jones and Russell Martin to start the second, and retired Eduardo Nunez on a pop up.
Matusz has thrown 35 pitches, 25 for strikes, in two innings.
Update: J.J. Hardy crushed a two-run homer in the third inning to give the Orioles a 3-1 lead. Hardy began the night hitting .184, and he grounded out in his first at-bat.
