Korean pitcher Suk-min Yoon tweeted a photo of himself tonight wearing an Orioles cap.
Is he trying to tell us something?
No one from the Korean media has reported an agreement between Yoon and the Orioles, and I haven’t received confirmation from anyone in the organization. Three prominent members are unaware of any agreement.
A tweet from @MyKBO explained that the caption with the photo basically translated to “ta-da.”
Have we reached a point where news is broke via selfies?

The Orioles have been viewed within the industry as the team most likely to sign Yoon. However, he dealt with a shoulder injury last year, prompting his move to the bullpen, and would have to pass a physical.
Even with an agreement in place, the Orioles wouldn’t publicly offer confirmation before receiving the results of the physical.
I’ve heard from multiple sources that the Orioles are trying to sign two pitchers, which has to include Yoon. However, I was told this afternoon that nothing “new” was brewing with the Orioles.
Stay tuned.
Update: FOXSports.com is reporting that there’s no agreement in place and five teams remain in the mix.
Let this be a warning. You can’t always trust a selfie.
I’m going to stay awake for a few more minutes and see whether Ubaldo Jimenez tweets a selfie wearing a “Why Not?” T-shirt.
Update II: Now comes a tweet from GlobalSportingIntegration.com:
“Source: #Orioles and Suk-Min Yoon are discussing final details of the contract. Can’t say it’s a done deal. But O’s are clear front-runner.”
