The White Sox have six hits off Orioles starter Jeremy Guthrie through two innings tonight. Five of them have gone for extra bases.
Paul Konerko doubled with two outs in the first inning, but he was stranded.
Then the floodgates opened.
A.J. Pierzynski led off the second with a 394-foot home run. Alex Rios, batting .215 before tonight, doubled to left field and scored on a single by Adam Dunn, who was batting .163.

Juan Pierre doubled down the right field line with two outs, but he was thrown out trying to stretch it into a triple. Score it 9-4-5.
White Sox 4, Orioles 0.
Guthrie has thrown 40 pitches, 28 for strikes.
Update: The Oriole scored twice in the bottom of the third after Chicago left-hander John Danks retired the first six batters he faced. Matt Wieters led off with a double and scored on Josh Bell’s one-out single. Bell took third on J.J. Hardy’s double, and he scored on Nick Markakis’ sacrifice fly.
