Robert Andino hit a two-run homer, Nolan Reimold and Michel Hernandez doubled, and Ryan Adams stroked an RBI single.

Manager Buck Showalter noted that Brad Bergesen’s command “wasn’t real good.”

“He had one good inning. Got his work in, got his pitch count up a little bit. We’d like to see him be a little more sharp, but at this stage of spring training, I’ll take pitch count and go from there.”

Showalter said Kevin Gregg’s stuff is in “pretty good shape” and his command is “normal for this time of the year.”

“You’re not going to have hardly anybody be sharp from Day One to the end of it,” he said.

Showalter also said Ryan Drese couldn’t get the ball to sink and it wasn’t “coming out of his hand the way it has his first two outings.”

“The last two outings, it hasn’t come out of his hand the way it needs to,” Showalter said. “He’s better than that. We’ll see.”

Brian Roberts did some light baseball activities today. He’s focusing more on cardio than weight work.

“We kind of mapped out a potential schedule if everything proceeds as normal and we don’t have any setbacks,” Showalter said. “We’re together on how it’s going to work if he doesn’t have any physical setbacks.”

Don’t bother asking when Roberts will get into a game.

“I’m not going to throw that out there,” Showalter said. “I know in a perfect world, the way we’ve got it mapped out, we’re going to take it day by day. But so far, so good. Got through a hurdle today and yesterday with the medical part of it. We’re upbeat about that.”

Craig Tatum tweaked a muscle on his right side a few days ago and will likely be shut down a few more days.
