First Lady of the United States Michelle Obama will visit Camden Yards next Tuesday, July 20 for the announcement of a new joint initiative between Major League Baseball, the Major League Baseball Players Association and the White House. Following the announcement, Orioles and Tampa Bay Rays players will conduct a clinic on the field for 50 young baseball players from local RBI (Reviving Baseball in Inner Cities) leagues and Boys & Girls Clubs. Following the announcement, Orioles and Tampa Bay Rays players will conduct a clinic on the field for 50 young baseball players from local RBI (Reviving Baseball in Inner Cities) leagues and Boys & Girls Clubs. Please note that these events are not open to the public.
That evening, Mrs. Obama will join representatives from the Boys and Girls Club and RBI League to throw out the ceremonial first pitch prior to the Orioles’ 7:05 p.m. game against the Rays.
Due to heightened security measures surrounding the First Lady’s visit on July 20, all fans are encouraged to arrive earlier than normal to the ballpark.
