The winner of this series meets the Kinston vs. Winston-Salem winner in the best-of-five Mills Cup Championship Series beginning next Monday.
Earlier, we listed the Keys likely playoff rotation.
The Keys final 25-man roster needs to be set by Noon tomorrow. It appears Manny Machado will not be on the active roster for the playoffs. No word on whether Mychal Givens, who ended the year with Frederick, will be or not. It’s possible the Keys could add some players that spent the final few days of the season with Norfolk like Miguel Abreu.
Frederick went 11-9 vs. the Nationals this year, going 4-6 at home and 7-3 on the road and going 8-3 in the first half and 3-6 in the second.
In the regular season, Frederick scored more runs with a better team batting average than Potomac, but Potomac out-homered Frederick with an edge in team ERA.
