Alberto Castillo got the last two outs in the sixth, though he allowed an infield hit and escaped when Jorge Posada overran second base, and he continues to impress. Manager Dave Trembley hated to cut him in spring training. You wonder if Castillo will stick around for a while instead of going back down to Triple-A Norfolk when a starter is added Saturday or Koji Uehara is activated.

Rhyne Hughes is 0-for-2 in his Camden Yards debut. He’s flied out with two on and none out, and struck out with one on and one out.
