Gausman gets additional rest with Monday’s off-day.

“It was kind of good to take that into consideration this time of the year, where I’m at innings-wise,” he said. “Like I said, two or three days of treatment and I feel fine, like nothing even happened. Just ready to go.”

Chris Tillman will throw a bullpen session on Sunday and start Wednesday night.

Manager Buck Showalter said he’s considering three or four names for Thursday’s start.

Left-hander Jayson Aquino has been cleared to pitch and is available tonight.

Showalter said he hasn’t discussed the 2017 coaching staff with executive vice president Dan Duquette, which indicates that they want everyone to return. However, “they may have some decision in that,” Showalter said.

“Everybody is in different places in their lives.”
