Miguel Tejada and Andy MacPhail discuss Tejada signing with the Orioles
The Orioles didn't hand Tejada a jersey during today's press conference, so the number is still being determined. They were in the process of contacting clubhouse manager Jimmy Tyler.
As for the corresponding 40-man roster move, the Orioles will announce it "at a later time," according to the press release.
Tejada still has a home in the Baltimore area. He supposedly told his agent not to sell it, "just in case."
You never know.
Tejada said he'll consult with a variety of players about making the move to third base, including Cal Ripken and Alex Rodriguez. He also plans to speak with teammate Ty Wigginton.
