The O's scored five in the 5th to open a 6-1 lead as they took advantage of three walks and a hit batter in the inning.
After Adam Jones scored the go-ahead run on a wild pitch, Luke Scott and Nolan Reimold drew bases loaded walks for a 4-1 lead. Gregg Zaun knocked in the 5th run with a single and another scored on a Cesar Izturis fielders choice.
The O's scored four off Tony Pena in the 9th on Scott's RBI double and Gregg Zaun's three-run homer.
The O's pick up their first win of the second half and are 5-3 over the last eight games and 16-14 over the last 30 contests.
The White Sox had won 14 of 20 entering today.
The O's begin a three-game series Monday night at Yankee Stadium.
