Update: Guthrie made it through seven. He allowed a two-out single to No. 9 hitter Marco Scutaro, who inexplicably tried to steal second base with Jacoby Ellsbury at the plate. Matt Wieters threw him out with room to spare – on a curveball from Guthrie.
Guthrie threw 110 pitches 69 for strikes.
Jim Johnson is warming and will pitch the eighth.
