The pain appears to be coming more toward Hardy’s back than his ribcage area. He’s never suffered this type of injury in the past.

Hardy is expected to undergo an MRI on Monday.
President of baseball operations Andy MacPhail was waiting in Showalter’s office after the game to discuss a roster move. It could involve a pitcher or catcher Craig Tatum.
Having Robert Andino and Cesar Izturis on the roster might eliminate the need for another middle infielder.
Also, Jeremy Guthrie will start tomorrow, and Chris Tillman is expected to take the ball Tuesday in New York. Wednesday’s starter remains a mystery.
