Game update: We finally have a home run from a first baseman! Ty Wigginton just launched a two-run shot off Oakland reliever Brad Ziegler in the bottom of the seventh to tie the game, 2-2. That’s Wigginton’s first homer since May 22.
We also have a Matt Albers sighting.

Albers replaced Mark Hendrickson in the seventh inning after Daric Barton’s leadoff single, his first appearance since June 24. He retired Conor Jackson on a ground ball before walking Kurt Suzuki. Kevin Kouzmanoff followed with a sharp grounder to Miguel Tejada, who made a nice pickup and threw to second to start a double play.

Albers had allowed four earned runs in his last two appearances totaling one inning. He surrendered three runs to the Marlins on June 22 without recording an out, and began tonight with a 5.79 ERA.
Once again, Albers is on the bubble as roster moves approach. The Orioles could option reliever Frank Mata when they activate Felix Pie during the road trip. Albers’ spot could be in jeopardy once Michael Gonzalez is activated, though trying to guess when that will happen is about as simple as picking the winning lottery numbers.
Hendrickson posted his third straight scoreless appearance.
Pie is 0-for-3 with a walk at Double-A Bowie.
Bob Bradley, coach of the USA men’s soccer team, will throw out the ceremonial first pitch before tomorrow night’s game.
I think he should do an overhead throw.
Better yet, a bicycle kick.
