Craig Tatum has two hits and Corey Patterson drew a walk.
It’s the end of the world as we know it. Too bad I don’t feel fine.
The Orioles have seven hits in five innings. They put two more runners on base in the fifth on Tatum’s single and Patterson’s walk, and they still couldn’t score. Adam Jones bounced into a double play.

Mark Hendrickson needed three more outs to turn in a quality start, but he left after Shin-Soo Choo’s leadoff single in the sixth. That’s three runs and seven hits in five-plus innings, with no walks, two strikeouts and one home run.
Matt Albers has inherited Choo at first. We’ll see if he’s on another pitch count of one like last night.
Update: Albers stranded Choo by getting two ground balls and striking out Russell Branyan.
Hendrickson threw 59 pitches, 40 for strikes.
Indians center fielder Grady Sizemore left the game with a left knee contusion. That’s a bruise to you and me.
Manager Dave Trembley talked about Rhyne Hughes earlier today. Here’s what he said:
“He did hit when he first got here. I think what you find in the big leagues is people find out what you can and what you can’t do quickly. That’s on both sides. That’s pitching and that’s hitting. He got himself in a little bit of a funk and we needed an arm. We needed someone to come here and help us pitch these next few days. He needs to go to Triple-A and find his stroke again. I still think he has value and can help us, but you make tough decisions in this game and a tough decision was made to send him out and get another left-handed pitcher.”
