Manager Buck Showalter believes tonight’s game will start on time, but he’ll know more when representatives from both teams, the umpires and head groundskeeper Nicole Sherry meet in the “rain room.”
There’s a light rain falling and the tarp’s on the field. Both teams will have to hit indoors.
Tommy Hunter is scheduled to start Wednesday night’s game in Kansas City. He’ll probably fly out tomorrow afternoon.

Left-hander Dana Eveland is available in the bullpen tonight after starting on Friday.
Outfielder Nolan Reimold won’t be examined by a team physician until later this afternoon, but his condition isn’t improving as much as the team hoped after he received an epidural injection in his spine on Friday. It’s normally a three-shot process, so Reimold might have to receive another one.
The Orioles are still waiting for the results of the MRI taken on reliever Matt Lindstrom’s right middle finger. A specialist needs to read it.
Outfielder Endy Chavez (intercostal) and third baseman Mark Reynolds (oblique) will report to Ed Smith Stadium in Sarasota and begin rehabbing. Lindstrom could soon join them.
It appears that the Orioles will avoid making a roster move today.
Showalter said he checked the waiver wire after last night’s game and discussed two pitchers with Rick Adair. Feel free to speculate.
The reason Joel Pineiro didn’t make yesterday’s start for Triple-A Norfolk is he’s bothered by an irritated shoulder capsule. It has nothing to do with a pending roster move.
Outfielder Trent Mummey has been activated from Single-A Frederick’s disabled list, and outfielder John Ruettiger moves up to the Keys from Single-A Delmarva.
Pitcher Tyler Wilson has been promoted from Delmarva to Frederick, outfieler Mike Planeta has been transferred to Delmarva and infielder/outfielder Tyler Kolodny has been released.
