Garcia is charged with two runs and six hits in six innings, with one walk, three strikeouts and two home runs. He threw 83 pitches, 52 for strikes.

A scoring change resulted in an extra hit off Garcia. Credit Josh Hamilton with a single in the first inning and remove the error from shortstop J.J. Hardy.

Garcia has turned in four quality starts out of his eight starts with the Orioles. He’s in line for the win, which would improve his career record against the Angels to 17-3.

With Hunter pitching in relief, Garcia is now yesterday’s news. And he literally will be yesterday’s news by the time this game is over.

Hunter gave up one run and two hits, and struck out two batters, yesterday at Tropicana Field. He came within an out of his second career save.

Garrett Richards is warming for the Angels and will replace Jered Weaver with Chris Davis on first base and two outs in the bottom of the sixth.

The grounds crew has done an amazing job getting the infield in playing condition. The right field corner remains a work in progress. They were using buckets to scoop up the water.

The tarp is being rolled up and we’re almost ready for more baseball. The Angels are jogging onto the field. Hamilton is wearing his glove and floaties, just to be on the safe side.

The delay lasted 2 hours and 14 minutes. The fans who stayed, and there aren’t many of them, have been invited to move down to the lower bowl. The upper deck is empty.

Update: Hunter has now been scored upon in two straight outings. The Angels picked up a run in the seventh and had the bases loaded with one out, but Hunter struck out Albert Pujols on a 98 mph fastball and retired Mark Trumbo on a bouncer to Ryan Flaherty, who made a nice play ranging up the middle and throwing across his body.

Hunter walked two batters in the seventh and gave up a single to No. 9 hitter Peter Bourjos.

Pedro Strop was warming in the seventh, but now it’s Darren O’Day.

Update II: O’Day pitched a scoreless eighth, allowing one hit, and Jim Johnson retired the side in order in the ninth on three ground balls, as the Orioles held on for a 4-3 victory over the Angels.

Johnson notched his 22nd save. He’s converted seven chances in a row and hasn’t allowed a run in that span.

Richards allowed one hit, a Matt Wieters single, over 2 1/3 scoreless innings after replacing Weaver. He retired the last seven Orioles.
