If the Orioles win tonight... (updated twice)

A victory tonight would give the Orioles their first five-game winning streak since June 17-21, 2009. Jake Arrieta has allowed three runs and six hits in five innings. He hasn't walked a batter, but he's sitting on 95 pitches. Mark Hendrickson has been warming up for a while. David Ortiz is leading off the sixth. We're facing a pitching change. Down on the farm, Triple-A Norfolk's Tim Bascom is shutting out Gwinnett on three hits through five innings. Blake Davis is playing shortstop after Robert Andino's promotion. Infielder/outfielder Miguel Abreu, infielder Buck Britton and catcher Phillip Britton moved up from Single-A Frederick to Norfolk to fill out the Tides' roster. Joel Guzman hit his 32nd homer for Double-A Bowie, and Brandon Waring added No. 21. And I don't know if either player will join the Orioles this month. Single-A Delmarva's Scott Copeland, a 21st-round pick this year out of Southern Mississippi, is shutting out Kannapolis on five hits over eight innings. First-round pick Manny Machado is 2-for-4 at Aberdeen. He's playing shortstop. And yes, Hendrickson has replaced Arrieta. Update II: And yes, the lead is gone. Marco Scutaro's two-run shot in the seventh inning has tied the game, 5-5. Koji Uehara isn't available tonight and I'm sure manager Buck Showalter wants to avoid using Jim Johnson. Alfredo Simon is warming.
