Major League Baseball officials are requesting that internet sites remove racy photos of Indians center fielder Grady Sizemore that were stolen from his girlfriend’s e-mail account, including one that, according to an AP story, shows him “nearly nude.”

These same officials are also asking the Pirates to stop missing the playoffs.

Sizemore reportedly stood in front of a mirror in various stages of undress and took the photos with his cell phone.

Former Yankee great Tommy Henrich has died at age 96.

“I am saddened by the loss of Tommy Henrich, who was truly one of my personal favorites,” commissioner Bud Selig said in a statement released by MLB.

“Tommy was a wonderful Yankee known for his professionalism and for his many contributions in big games throughout his All-Star career, which spanned three different decades. ‘Old Reliable’ was beloved by his Yankee teammates and played on seven World Championship teams. On behalf of Major League Baseball, I extend my deepest sympathy to Tommy’s family and friends.”

Henrich hit the first walk-off home run in World Series history, beating Brooklyn’s Don Newcombe in Game 1 in 1949.

He also became the first player to fire his agent and hire Scott Boras.
