Great minds thinking alike.

Montanez (oblique) and Johnson (elbow) are moving their injury rehab assignments from the Gulf Coast League team. Montanez will join the Baysox tonight, and Johnson will arrive tomorrow.
Montanez was named the Eastern League’s MVP in 2008 after winning the Triple Crown with a .335 average, 26 home runs and 97 RBIs. He currently owns a 21-game hitting streak with the Baysox, the longest in franchise history. He hit safely in his first 19 games of 2008, beginning July 17 in Harrisburg, and in two more during last year’s injury rehab assignment.
Jeff Fiorentino owned the previous record of 19, set in 2006.
Johnson pitched for Bowie in 2005 and 2006. He started one game in ’05, tossing 7 1/3 scoreless innings. He made 26 starts the following year and led the team with 13 wins.
