As president and chief operating officer of MASN and executive vice president of the Orioles, John Angelos is used to working with the behind-the-scenes mechanisms of a television program. But on Monday, Oct. 31, he flipped his view of television when he joined Jeff Salkin on Maryland Public Television’s “Direct Connection.”
Angelos and Salkin discussed a variety of topics during the 27-minute segment, including the current state of the Orioles heading into the offseason, the business side of running a major league club and the future of Baltimore. Angelos was sure to recognize the hard work and effort put forth by manager Buck Showalter and executive vice president of baseball operations Dan Duquette that have given the O’s a division title, three playoff appearances and the winningest record in the American League over the past five seasons.
